6S vision inspection module
MMS’s Lens Inspection System machine is a fully automated inspection system, designed to perform defect inspection for transparent/semi transparent lens. It is capable of 2D defect inspection, and 6S inspection for singulated units up to 8mm x 8mm.

Flowchart
Lenses in full trays inside magazines are transferred to the tray pick-and-place station.
The tray pick-and-place unit picks up the lenses from the trays and transfers them to the turret.
The turret indexes the lenses and carries them through the vision inspection modules.
There are three vision inspection modules on the first turret table and two on the second table (a total of five).
Units that pass inspection are taped into reels.
Rejected units are sorted into the reject bin.
