Degassing Vacuum Chamber

4 degas chambers + 2 curing station

The MOL42 is for the degassing and curing of heat-curable silicon-phosphor mixes dispensed into LED component cavity. It is designed with 4 degas chambers, 2 pre-snap curing chambers, one snap curing chamber and one cooling station. The machine removes gas entrapped during the dispensing process and immediately cures the dispensed material.

Combining multiple process steps in a single machine maximizes the throughput of the machine. The design also allows full control over product quality with the help of user-programmable profiles of degassing parameters, curing-and cooling-temperatures.

Features

  • Removes entrapped gas and immediately cures the dispensed material
  • Full control over product quality with user-programmable profiles for degassing vacuum, curing, and cooling temperatures
  • Optional camera available for the de-gas process
  • Automatic substrate ID check
  • Conveyor input compliant with SMEMA standard

MMS also offers an automated settling machine to be placed between the de-gassing chamber station and the curing station. Transfer is done using a robot arm, and there are 60 settling chambers where the substrate can settle for 60 minutes, increasing quality before it is transferred to the heat curing station.

Flowchart

The substrate is loaded onto a conveyor, and a claw arm indexer carries it to the degas station.

Substrates that have been degassed are transferred into the snap cure elevator, where they are heated by a heater block on each level.

The hot substrates are then cooled at the cooling station. Cooled substrates wait here to be transferred into unloading magazines.

Substrates are placed into the degas chamber elevator for degassing.
